Hiking In ‘Cathedral Of Stained Glass’

A Sunday, Oct. 1, outing along a colorful Metolius River was “just another glorious fall CONC hike,” according to hiker Thom Iverson.

“It was like walking through a cathedral of stained glass,” he says. “Another perfectly timed choice of hikes and a good time was had by all. Some did the five-mile out and back, which did have the best fall color, and a couple of us stretched our legs a bit longer and added enough going the other direction to get to 11.7 miles round trip total, according to the GPS.”
