‘Flowers Were Still Great’ On Browder Ridge

A Central Oregon Nordic Club hiking group found “great” flowers on a hike to Browder Ridge on Wednesday, July 11.

This was a Meetup hike led by Gary Kelley and Jo Keen.

“We beat the heat by starting early,” Gary reports. “The flowers were still great.”

This is considered a “pretty tough hike,” consisting of 2,100 feet of elevation gain and 10.1 miles. The trek first goes through an old-growth forest before mountain views and open meadows at higher elevations.
