Colorado Hiking Trip Planned For Sept. 7-14

Going thru the RCI website (RCI is a condo week-trading outfit), CONC member Larry Weinberg found and reserved two units at a resort on the Grand Mesa, outside of Grand Junction, Colorado, for the period Sept. 7, 2019 (arrive) to Sept. 14, 2019 (checkout). At the end of this message is a link to the condos and a link that describes the Grand Mesa.
When he lived in Laramie, Larry was always intrigued by the descriptions of the Grand Mesa but never got there. It is a high plateau region to the east of Grand Junction. There are numerous parks, monuments and interesting places to visit near the condos and some that can be done as a day trip. One thing to keep in mind is that the resort is at roughly 8,200 feet in elevation and a little ways away from any towns.
The condo layout is also a bit different from what is normally encountered. There is a three-bedroom unit and a two-bedroom unit, and each unit also has a sofa bed. The bedrooms just have one queen bed rather than two twins or doubles. That does limit the number of people to some degree. The cost will be $250 per person for singles and $400 per couple for the week’s lodging. A couple is two individuals willing to share a bed!
The cost only covers lodging at the reserved condos for the dates shown. Transportation, other lodging, food and beverages, entertainment, trip insurance, etc. are not included. The nearest airport is at Grand Junction. If there is sufficient interest, Larry will contact the condos to see if additional units are available. However, the cost for these additional units may be higher.
Because the payment for the reserved condos has already been made, payment to Larry in full will be required when you receive a confirmation e-mail from Larry. There will be no refunds if you cancel for any reason, but Larry will attempt to find someone to take your place. There is no guarantee that such a person can be found.
I will require anyone going on the trip to be a CONC member and to sign a trip waiver. Of course, you can become a member to do the trip.
