Ten adventurous CONC hikers strode the trails Sunday up and back down Scott Mountain, a distance of 8.4 miles.
“It was accomplished under a canopy of peerless azure skies,” says group leader Roz O’Donaghue. “All were in good spirits and there was lively conversation to be had on a classic bluebird day. ‘Go forth and do not multiply,’ a timeless truism, was heard from one of the enthusiastic hikers.
“All in all, quite the wonderful Labor Day Sunday for all involved,” concludes Roz.
One of these photos shows smoke from the Terwilliger fire. Otherwise, the group had clear views everywhere else, says hiker Shannon Bergstedt.
“Gorgeous hike,” Shannon adds.
