McCall, Idaho 2024
Building on last year’s successful CONC trip to Anthony Lakes we are heading to McCall, Idaho a small town situated at 5,000 feet elevation with a long history of both Nordic and Alpine skiing. Join up to 16 Central Oregon Nordic Skiers for an exciting new adventure including a stay at a highly rated beautiful modern cabin with ample space for large groups. Skiing opportunities are varied and include Bear Basin, Ponderosa State Park, Tamarack Resort, Lake Cascade State Park and Hasbrouck Ranch. All ski areas are 20 miles or less from McCall. We expect to spend 1 to 2 days at Bear Basin’s 30km of trails with a good mix of all levels. The drive from Bend to McCall is about 6 Hours and 30 Minutes.
Trip cost is $275.00 per person for a shared bunk room and $375.00 per person/double occupancy for one of three private suites. Also included are three (3) delicious dinners prepared at our AirBnB and one (1) evening dining out in nearby McCall. Trip participants will be responsible for their individual breakfasts and lunches.
This year’s AirBnB destination is located close to downtown McCall at 1119 Mo’s Way. The quick 5 minute drive into town allows us to take advantage of the local restaurants and shops after skiing. The home has 3000 square feet, 5 Bedrooms, 4.5 Bathrooms, and a hot tub!
Mo’s Way Bedroom Layouts:
Bedroom 1-Downstairs includes Queen with Full Bath (Sleeps 2-$375.00 per person/double occupancy)
Bedroom 2-Downstairs includes Queen with Half Bath (Sleeps 2-$375.00 per person/double occupancy)
Bedroom 3-Upstairs Bunkroom includes Three Bunks with Full Bath (Sleeps 6-$275.00 per person)
Bedroom 4-Upstairs includes Queen and Bunk with adjacent hallway Bath (Sleeps 4-$275.00 per person)
Bedroom 5-Upstairs includes King with Full Bath (Sleeps 2-$375.00 per person/double occupancy)
We will try our best to put you in your requested bedroom listed above but be prepared to be placed in a communal sleeping room. Additional spaces can be carved out to place your comfy inflatable mattress in designated sleeping areas throughout the house if needed.
How do I sign up?
Reservations will be taken beginning October 23, 2023 at precisely 7am (no earlier!) by emailing your request (Bedroom 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) to Charlene Newman directly (2228newman@gmail.com). Be sure to include your roommate's name if you want to signup for two people, or if you want to signup 4 people for Bedroom 4 include all of their names. Once your spot is confirmed, a week later each participant will be invoiced a non-refundable deposit of $100 and you will need to complete the required CONC Overnight Trip Application. Final invoice will be emailed to you about 30 days before the trip.
Dinner will be provided each evening including a vegetarian option. The dining menu will be similar to those prepared by helping hands at last year’s Good Bear Ranch including Salmon and Wild Rice, Taco Tuesday, and Pasta Night. Salad and dessert also included. The large kitchen is capable of feeding a crowd! Each individual is responsible for their own breakfasts and lunches.
