Snowshoe Trail Maintenance
Tuesday November 7th
8:30 to 1ish

A few inches of snow on the Porcupine Snowshoe Trail at Swampy Sno-Park greeted Christie Crowe, Dennis DeLapp, David Alward, Kelley Cleman, and Gary Evans as we continued pre-season work. Thanks to earlier scouting by Christie, we were able to proceed clockwise to the Shelter Tie and return via the Porcupine Tie. 22 blowdown were cut along with brushing and trimming for sign visibility. A few missing reassurance markers were replaced. All of the trails at Swampy are ready for the season; at least until the next storm. Thanks to Dennis for photos and for David and Christie for driving.

Gary headed out to Edison last week and cleared 18 logs from the Tesla trail at Edison...Thank you Gary! Though there remain 3 to cut and a need for brushing, given the weather forecast, we will head to Meissner to do the Short & Long Loop, totaling 3  miles. I don't have scouting on this trail. We'll go with a pole saw and x-cuts as it generally has not be bad. I also expect it to be a shorter day.
