Learn about the over 27 miles of dedicated snowshoe trails in Central Oregon that are waiting to be explored. The large ponderosas, hemlocks, lava flows and a giant's fingerprint. Whether you are ready to snowshoe for the first time or are experienced, whether you are looking to snowshoe with your dog, or not, we will discuss destinations, equipment, maps, navigation, hazards and conditions in this 1-hour presentation followed by a Q&A period.
Registration is not required for this event.
We will also be offering an opportunity to sign up with the Central Oregon Nordic Club to go on a non-member guided trip on a local snowshoe trail. There will be two trips offered on a future date when snow conditions permit. A short 1 mile trip that is open to children 8 and older and their parents and a longer 3 1/2 mile trip open to adults and children 12 and older. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
