Trailwork last week was divided between two goals. Dave Alward, Kurt Keasy, Dennis Damici, Chuck DelCambre, and Gary Evans cleared a large ponderosa log on the Tesla Snowshoe Trail just east of Edison Shelter.
Kelly Eager and Bob Timmer replaced the YAH maps and signboards on the Edison Short Loops. The maps and signboards date to the 2019/20 season; thus 4 years. They were north-facing and could have lasted another year, if not for a hungry porcupine. The replacement signboards are made from recycled fiberboard trail signs.
This Tuesday, February 13th, we will head to the Todd Lake Trail. Our goal is to clear a jackstraw'd pair of leaners on the western Todd Lake Loop trail, a little before the Todd Lake Meadow that Gary identified. We will park Mt Bachelor and go through the Common Corridor. The snowshoe will be 3 1/2 miles round-trip and will be a shorter day.
