Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Category: Non-groomed/off trail

Duration: 4 hours on the trail, approximately 30 min drive time each way to Mt. Bachelor from Bend.

Route: An intermediate to advanced tour of about 7 miles round trip. We will ski to Todd Lake, then climb 250' to Bare Lake. Snow during the day is likely, but with a high of 34 degrees and chance of sun.

Ski Equipment: Skis at least 78mm wide for the new snow. Skins for climbing up to Bare Lake - suggested but not required. Adjustable poles for skiing down.

Gear: Clothing to match the forecasted conditions; no cotton! The 10 essentials. Lunch and water.

Meeting time/place:
9:00 AM - Meet Sue Sullivan at the Grove in Bend (NW Crossing) for a bit of socializing & coffee drinking, arrange carpooling, sign waivers
9:30 AM - Leave promptly for destination
10:00 AM – Anticipated arrival at the Nordic Center at Mt. Bachelor.
Note: If you plan on driving directly to the Nordic Center, please inform the trip leader.
