Our route will depend on the snow and if we have to break trail.
Distance: 2.5 to 5 miles RT. Plan on spending 5-6 hours including drive time to/from Swampy Sno-Park.
Elevation gain/loss: Up to 500 feet gain, depending on route.
What to bring: Winter Ten essentials, water, snack/lunch, snowshoes and poles. Snow-Park pass required at trailhead. Dogs are not allowed on this trip.
Difficulty level: Moderate. Depending on previous snowfall, we may have to break trail. Be prepared to take your turn at the front of the group!
Number of hikers: Sign up is not required for this hike.
Carpooling: There is street parking around the Grove. Carpooling can be arranged at the meeting place. If you ride with someone, please donate to their gas fund. Be generous for obvious reasons.
Meeting place: The Grove in NW Crossing: 921 NW Mount Washington Drive, Bend. We'll grab a table in the general seating area, near Thump. Come early to grab a coffee and chat with others before we arrange carpools. Be prepared to leave by 9:00 am sharp!
