Building on the success of last year’s trip, we are heading to McCall again in 2025! McCall is a small town situated at 5,000 feet elevation with a long history of both Nordic and Alpine skiing. Join up to 14 Central Oregon Nordic skiers at a luxurious private cabin with ample space for large groups. Ski opportunities abound, with Bear Basin, Ponderosa State Park, Tamarack Resort, and Jug Mountain Ranch all within a 30 minute drive from the cabin. The drive time from Bend to Brookdale Cabin is about 6 Hours and 30 Minutes.
The trip cost is $300-$350 per person for a shared bunk room and $450 per person/double occupancy for one of three private rooms. Included in this price are three delicious dinners prepared at the cabin and one evening dining out in McCall. Trip participants will be responsible for their own breakfasts and lunches. There is a large refrigerator in the kitchen and another just steps away in the garage.
Brookdale Cabin (Lodge) is about a 20-minute drive from McCall. On the main level is a fully appointed kitchen and a large main level living room with a cozy pellet stove. The cabin has 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, a hot tub, upstairs living room and large loft area with a pool table and foosball. There is ample parking on the paved circular driveway and other designated areas around the cabin.
Brookdale Cabin Bedroom Layouts:
Bedroom 1- Private King with full bath on Main Floor (Sleeps 2-$450 per person/double occupancy)
Bedroom 2 – Private Queen with shared bath on Main Floor (Sleeps 2 -$450 per person/double occupancy)
Bedroom 3- Private Queen with shared bath on Main Floor (Sleeps 2 -$450 per person/double occupancy)
Bunkroom 4 –One (1) Queen and One (1) Twin over Twin Bunk (Sleeps 3-4 - $350 per person for Queen and twin lower bunk, $300 for twin upper bunk)
Bunkroom 5- Three (3) Twin over Full Bunks (Sleeps up to 5- $350 per person for full lower bunk, $300 for twin upper bunk)
We will do our best to place you in your requested bedroom, but please be prepared to consider alternate sleeping arrangements. Additional spaces can be carved out throughout the cabin to accommodate your inflatable mattress if needed.
How do I sign up?
Reservations will be taken beginning October 12 at precisely 8 am (no earlier!) by emailing your request as follows:
- Private Bedroom (Double Occupancy) 1, 2, or 3
- Bunkrooms 4 and 5, state the bed size you prefer and if a bunk, upper or lower
Send an email to Jane Dunham directly. You must be a CONC member to participate in the trip. Be sure to include your roommate’s name if you want to sign up for 2 people. If you have a group that wants to stay in Bunkrooms 4 or 5, include all their names and bed preferences. Once your spot is confirmed, you will be invoiced for a non-refundable $100 deposit per person through the CONC website, due no later than 10/19. You will be required to complete the required CONC Overnight Trip Waiver at that time. The final payment will be due on 12/16/2024.
Other Misc:
Dinner including a vegetarian option will be prepared each evening with helping hands from the group. The dinner menus will include Salmon and Wild Rice, Taco Tuesday, and Pasta Night. Salad and dessert are included. Coffee, tea and afternoon appetizers will also be provided. Everyone is responsible for their own beverages, breakfasts and lunches.
