Trail maintenance - Flagline Tie

Now that the higher elevation trail surveys are done, we’ll finish up the surveys in the Swampy Lakes trail system in the next couple of weeks. 

The plan for Wednesday will be to cover the Flagline Tie trail. Since much of what we’ll be covering is also bike trail, I am expecting that there won’t be much in the way of logs to find. I have heard that there are some trail markers needing replacement on Flagline Tie, so we will haul a ladder and markers, and do some brushing and limbing along the way. This will be a longer day, with the total distance to be covered about 6 miles.

There is expected to be a slight chance of showers on Wednesday, with a high in the 50s. 

What to bring: gloves, long sleeved shirt, eye protection, water, snack/lunch and proper footwear (no tennis shoes or sandals). Hard hats are required and can be provided if you don’t have one. Bring a hand saw if you have one. 

Carpooling: We’ll meet at the Cascade Lakes Welcome Center for carpooling.
