John Craig Event Needs Volunteers

Note: This is not a CONC event, although CONC members often volunteer and participate. It is sponsored by the Oregon Nordic Club, of which CONC is a chapter.

The John Craig Event needs your help!

Saturday March 15, 2025 is our annual John Craig event held in Sisters, Oregon. In the past few years it had drawn around 200+ people.  To put on an event like this it takes volunteers, lots and lots of them!  You will still have time to participate and ski.

We are looking for a few great people to help with the John Craig event.

• Marketing – advertising the event on social media, to other organizations and businesses etc.
• Graphic Design - to make a flyer for ski shops and other locations.
• Distribution of flyers to, Mazamas, other ONC Clubs, Teacup, in Sisters,  Bend, Remond,  Hood River -  Chamber of Commerce , XC Ski locations and ski shops in Central Oregon , Eugene, Portland, etc.
• Day of event help
• • Parking
  • Check in,
  • Hand out bibs,
  • Take photos
  • Record start times 
  • Table and awning set up and hang banners
  • Table and awning and banner take down
  • Person to work at the after-party ski at the Pizza Parlor - Host 
  • First aid
  • Finish Line - event check out – return bibs.

Proceeds from this event go to fund the High School X-C Ski Racing Programs.
