At this Deschutes Public Library presentation, CONC member John Fertig will cover how to prepare for a winter outing and what gear is beneficial to have in case of an unplanned incident.
John is a retired Forester and Marine Corps veteran with 45 years of experience working and recreating in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. John has been a Backcountry Ski Patroller at Crater Lake National Park and has participated in numerous search and rescue incidents.
