Dryland Training for Ski Instructors

The lack of snow means there won't be any beginner ski clinics in December.  But that doesn't mean we can't get ready for January!  Instead of waiting for snow, we can do some of the instructor training before the snow arrives.

For this instructor training, we will meet at the Grove, as we do for the actual beginner clinics.  Then we will carpool up to the Meissner shelter, which gives us a quieter place to do the training.

This session will include: 

• Going over checkins, equipment checks, instructor assignments--all the things that happen at The Grove during a beginner clinic.
• High level overview of the basic XC skiing skills
• Elements on what to teach
• 'Walk' through XC 101, 102, 103 progressions.

Note that although we will be out of the elements in the Meissner shelter, it will be cold inside, so dress appropriately.
