Trail Highlights: Kei and I had the same thought: snow on Wednesday (1-3") and Wednesday night (1-2") means good skiing on Thursday! This tour will go up Ridge and over to Flagline Tie, then back on Crosscut and down Shelter Tie for lunch at the Shelter. We'll then continue on the Swampy Loop past Swede Ridge and down the long road to the TH.
Level of Difficulty, Distance, and Time. At 5.5-6 miles, this is an intermediate tour. We will be going up the one steep hill (Ridge) so we should avoid any steep downhill. I expect to ski about 3 hours with a half hour lunch.
When: Thursday March 5.
Meeting Place/Time: Meet at the Grove at 8:30. We will sign waivers and arrange carpools in order to leave by 8:45. That should put us on the snow at Swampy by 9:30 (ahead of Kei's group). Meet at the Map/Kiosk.
