This hike features Cascade vistas, two summits and the possibility of wildflowers
Distance: 7 miles total. Coffin Mountain 3 miles and Bachelor Mountain 4 miles. Trailheads are 2 miles apart.
Elevation gain/loss: 2000 ft elevation gain. 1000ft each hike
What to bring: Ten essentials, water, snack/lunch, insect repellent and proper footwear (no tennis shoes or sandals). Dogs are not allowed on this hike.
Difficulty level: Intermediate to difficult due to possible tree deadfall on trail, sustained uphill grade.
Number of hikers: 8 maximum
Carpooling: Carpooling can be arranged at the meeting place. If you ride with someone, please donate to their gas fund. Be generous for obvious reasons.
Meeting place: Rays Food place parking lot in Sisters near the EV charging stations at 8:30am. Let Roz know if making other arrangements. I drive a black Subaru Forester
