Fall weather means that the larches should be turning their autumn colors now. Shevlin Park has a nice display of larches this fall.
Distance: 4.5 miles round trip.
Elevation gain/loss: 300 feet. Plan to spend 2-3 hours on this trip including drive time.
What to bring: Ten essentials, water, snack/lunch, and proper footwear (no tennis shoes or sandals). Wear non-cotton clothing and other gear suitable for cooler and possibly wetter conditions. Dogs are not allowed on this hike.
Difficulty level: Easy.

Meeting place: Meet at 8:50 am at the parking lot in Shevlin Park near the toilets and picnic shelter. Be prepared to leave by 9:00 am sharp!
