The snow could be coming any time - so we’ll continue surveying trails for downed logs this week. We’ll check out the Shelter Tie trail and the Crosscut trail. The amount of work to be done is not known; we’ll carry a crosscut saw, a few hand saws, and a pole saw, but it may just end up being a nice walk if we don’t find much.
I’ll be in contact with registrants by Tuesday to confirm details of the plan.
What to bring: please ensure you have the following required PPE:
- hard hat (let me know if you need one)
- Sturdy footwear
- Long sleeved shirt and long pants
- Eye protection
- a pack big enough to haul some extra tools and supplies.
Carpooling: Meet at the Cascade Lakes Welcome Center at 9:00 to sort out carpooling. Contact me if you want to meet us at the Swampy Lakes Sno-Park instead.
